Kimbo Slice Makes Boxing Debut with Jared Shaw

Kevin Ferguson who fights under the moniker "Kimbo Slice" will be making his boxing debut fighting James Wade 0-1 from Missouri. But that is only the "Top Story".
The true story is the fact that once again Kevin Ferguson is working with Jared Shaw. For those who need the introduction the next portion is for you.

Shaw was 2nd in command of EliteXC which was a promotion that was riding solely on the back of its two biggest stars Kimbo Slice and Gina Carano. While the company was hemorrhaging cash......Click for more.

Could the Recent Addition of Health Insurance be to Blame for so Many Canceled Fights?

The world of a mixed martial artist is a tough grind of training regimens which can be more stressful than the fight itself. The old adage being, train hard before the fight and on fight night it will be a piece of cake. However injuries are becoming more and more prevalent and now more than ever are impacting the fights that are presented to us as fans.

UFC 133 was one of the most injury plagued cards to date.

Franklin was left holding the bag at UFC 133 with fighters dropping out like flies.

UFC 134: Anderson Silva Vs. Yushin Okami

I think we all agree that UFC Champ Anderson Silva is probably the greatest fighter to walk planet earth. That said, is a fight against Yushin Okami a fight that we really want to see the Champ face, or is it simply the UFC grasping at straws looking for opponents for Silva?

Never has a fighter been as dominant in UFC history as has Anderson Silva been. As great as that is, it also leads to problems with a fighter's career. Silva vs. Okami is an example of this. Silva has cleaned out the division with such dominance when he chooses to do so. The other fights where it seems boredom has stepped in.....(Click Here to Read the Rest of the Article)

Video of Matt Mitrione and Tito Ortiz Confrontation Explained

Matt Mitrione and Tito Ortiz…

Really what more can I say…

You want ratings for the “dying” Ultimate Fighter series, then put these two as coaches for a season and let the comedy ensue.

You’ve probably seen the original confrontation video posted by UFC fighter Roy Nelson. Now read about what it was all about.

UFC Announces Diego Sanchez Vs. Matt Hughes

With this fight announcement I am having some serious thoughts about the future fighting career of Hughes. Matt Hughes has been fighting since Jan 1st, 1998 averaging four fights a year.

While arguably one of the most decorated fighters in the history of the UFC, how much does he have left in the tank?
Hughes can only be asking himself this very question by taking this fight.

UFC 132: Wanderlei Silva Vs. Chris Leben

Talking about being a fan of the knockout. If you are then this fight is for you.

In my most recent article, I have posted some very interesting stats on both of these guys.
It is a very good read and you can gain some serious knowledge on their records in the process.

Chris Leben is always a game opponent.

I don't know if I have ever seen a fight he was in that just a stand and bang even if he lost.

Silva, do I really have to say anything?
It's Wanderlei Silva for crying out loud.

If your a fan, you'll really want to read this.

Rampage Jackson No Longer Motivated to Fight

Quinton Rampage Jackson clearly has plans for his future and it doesn't involve MMA.

Jackson got a taste of the acting bug last year when he starred in the action flick remake of the A-Team as B.A. Baracus. While he has been featured in quite a few smaller roles on television, getting one of the lead roles in a major Hollywood production has really ramped up his passion for being an actor and he is very much wanting movies to become his main source of income.

Jon Jones Not Having Surgery: Still No Fight with Rashad Evans

Jon Jones has decided to not have surgery on his hand but yet doesn’t want to fight Rashad Evans

To make matters worse, he probably has one of the worst managers
possible trying to do PR work.

After this little fiasco it is no wonder that Matt Mitrione fired Kawa as his manager.

Chael Sonnen and the CSAC Suspension: The Complete Story

Chael Sonnen has been in a world of hurt recently in pretty much all matters of his life.

He lost his title bout.
He lost his real-estate gig.
And now he has lost the ability to fight, at least in California anyway
(that pretty much means all other states also that uphold other states decisions).

Unfortunately, as bad as I feel for this guy he did it to himself.

Brock Lesnar Not Fighting Junior dos Santos Due to Illness

This season of the Ultimate Fighter doesn’t have the heated rivalry between coaches like we have seen in the past. Even though they weren't at each other’s throat this season at least we knew there was going to be one hell of a fight when it was all said and done.

Well not anymore. Lesnar’s diverticulitis has flared back up causing him to drop out of his fight with JDS.

Brock Lesnar
Lesnar had to back out due to a reoccurring of his illness.

UFC Fighters Who Have Tapped to Strikes

I think Chuck Liddell would call into question your manhood if you ever submitted to strikes, but when you have, let’s say a broken orbital and you have a monster on top of you who is beating that broken eye socket to death…well, sometimes you just gotta do it.
Take a look at the five fighters in the UFC who have tapped to strikes. I have included links to the video if available.
If you know of others who have also threw in the towel due to punches, feel free to let me know.
Without further ado, please click here to read my article on the

Top 5 Knockouts Outside of the UFC

Link to the Article here . These are some of the meanest knockouts outside of the UFC.

One of them effectivly ended a fighters career. While we all love to see a great knockout, we don't want to see a fighter carried out on a strecher because of it.

Have a gander if you will.
Rule #2, The Double Tap. This little gem can be seen by checking out my previous post of Top 5 Knockouts in the UFC
